Grace is 9 years old and lives with her mother and 6 siblings in a poor farming village in Uganda. She is silly and adventurous and loves jump roping, playing net ball, and other games with friends, whom she has many of. Grace is currently enrolled in primary one, but her mother is struggling to pay her school fees. Grace’s mother, the sole supporter of the family, is a subsistence farmer, producing only enough for the family to eat and just a little to sell. As a result, Grace may not be able to go to school at all without a sponsorship.
