The family’s main source of livelihood is small scale farming growing maize, groundnuts, beans and vegetables. Her mother struggles to provide for the family. The family earns less than US$2 on average per month which is not sufficient to provide Flavia and her siblings with the food, healthcare, housing and education they need.
