Ferida is 12 years old and lives with her mother and 4 older siblings in a poor farming village in Uganda. She is always playing ball games with friends and is kind and energetic. Ferida is currently enrolled in primary 4 and loves learning accounting and science. Unfortunately, her mother is struggling to pay her school fees. Ferida’s mother, the sole supporter of the family, is a subsistence farmer, producing only enough for the family to eat and just a little to sell. As a result, Ferida may not be able to continue her education without a sponsorship.
